Sheridan Maine is supporting a well-established and expanding accountancy practice in London in its search for an Audit Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified audit professional to take on a senior role, managing a portfolio of clients, leading audit assignments, and contributing to the growth and development of the audit team within a supportive and professional environment.

Main duties of a Audit Manager:

• Manage and lead audit engagements for clients across multiple sectors.
• Review accounts and financial statements for compliance with accounting standards.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff, providing guidance and technical support.
• Maintain and develop strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.
• Support the audit team in workflow management, deadlines, and process improvements.
• Identify opportunities to enhance client services and support business development.
• Keep up to date with changes in audit and accounting regulations and apply them effectively.

Qualifications to succeed as a Audit Manager:

• ACA, ACCA, or equivalent qualified.
• Proven experience managing audit assignments and client portfolios.
• Strong technical knowledge of audit procedures and financial reporting standards.
• Excellent communication, client-facing, and leadership skills.
• Confident working independently and managing a team.
• Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities.
