Job Title: Senior Project Engineer
Location: Hampton (Hybrid – 2–3 days on site)
Salary: £46,000 – £65,000 + benefits
Working Pattern: 36 hours per week, Monday–Friday

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join a major UK utilities organisation delivering critical wastewater infrastructure projects across London.

This role offers the chance to play a key part in modernising treatment works and wastewater networks, contributing to environmental protection and the reliable delivery of essential services for millions of people.

Working as part of a multi-disciplinary project team, you will oversee the design development and technical delivery of multiple wastewater network projects from early concept and feasibility through to contract award, construction support, and final asset handover.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the design development of multiple wastewater network projects, managing input from internal engineers and external consultants from concept design through to contract award.
  • Identify, analyse, and mitigate technical and project risks, ensuring robust scope definition and accurate contractor pricing.
  • Provide technical oversight during construction phases, ensuring design compliance and managing any required design changes.
  • Support project teams during commissioning and handover of assets, ensuring operational requirements are met.
  • Conduct design reviews to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant engineering solutions.
  • Act as the key technical contact for the CDM Designer / Principal Designer during the early design stages.
Candidate Requirements
  • HNC, Degree, or Master’s qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Chartered Engineer status, or working towards chartership with a recognised professional body.
  • Understanding of project delivery within process industries such as water, utilities, or infrastructure.
  • Good knowledge of Health & Safety legislation within the construction environment.
  • Strong understanding of engineering processes and design principles.
  • Full UK driving licence preferred, although candidates without access to a vehicle are still encouraged to apply.
