Job Description

Pertemps are recruiting reliable and hardworking Night Warehouse Operatives to join Royal Mail’s York Mail Centre overnight shift. Play a vital role sorting and processing mail and parcels to support next-day deliveries.

Your Role
  • Sorting parcels and letters by hand and machine.
  • Moving and loading mailbags and cages.
  • Scanning barcodes and processing items for dispatch.
  • Ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and safety at all times.
Requirements
  • Good level of physical fitness – this is a hands-on, active role.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy mail sacks.
  • Attention to detail and strong work ethic.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and additional shifts.
  • Must pass a criminal background check (DBS) before start.
Other Information:
  • Working Hours: 23:59 - 08:00 / Monday to Saturday.
  • Pay Rate: £12.21
  • Start Date: 28/11/2025
  • Location: York, YO26 6QS
