Hours: 37 hours/week, Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay: £13.46–£17.43/hour + agency support benefits

What You’ll Do:

• Drive and load a variety of waste and recycling collection vehicles, ensuring efficient and safe operations across Powys.
• Take responsibility for your vehicle throughout the working day, conducting daily checks and following safety procedures.
• Use apps on a phone or tablet to complete daily checks and work from a collection list, ensuring accurate operations.
• Work collaboratively with your team, maintaining high standards during waste and recycling collections.
• Be prepared to work bank holidays or weekends if breakdowns occur and catch-up is needed, supporting the council’s environmental goals.

What We’re Looking For:

• Skills: Physically fit and able to handle the demands of driving and loading, with confidence using apps for daily tasks.
• Qualities: Reliable, responsible, and proud to contribute to a cleaner Powys, with a focus on safety and efficiency.
• Experience: Experience driving HGV vehicles, with a full current Driver CPC qualification.
• Requirements: HGV (Class C+E and/or C1+E) driving licence with CPC; ability to travel across Powys sites; eligibility to work in the UK.
• Bonus Points: Willingness to work bank holidays/weekends if needed; Welsh language skills (or readiness to learn how to pronounce personal and place names correctly).
