  • Employment Type: Temporary (30 weeks)
  • Start Date: 4 August 2025
  • Hours: 21 hours per week (flexible days, with potential for fewer hours for the right candidate)
  • Salary:
    • PAYE: £15.84 per hour

What You’ll Do:
  • Deliver engaging ceramics training and workshops aligned with the Shared Prosperity Fund’s outcomes.
  • Promote social inclusion by engaging diverse learners to improve skills and combat isolation.
  • Facilitate soft skills development and deliver both non-accredited and accredited workshops.
  • Support learners in overcoming barriers to education and signpost them to further learning opportunities.
  • Contribute to curriculum development, quality assurance, and incorporate cross-cutting themes in delivery.
  • Collaborate with statutory, non-statutory, and third-sector partners to enhance programme impact.
  • Share best practices through standardisation meetings, locally and nationally.
  • Deliver accredited courses meeting the Credit Qualification Framework Wales or awarding body standards.
  • Support marketing efforts to boost learner engagement.
  • Propose innovative solutions to expand the curriculum and cover multiple subject areas when needed.
  • Ensure safe working practices and contribute to the hub’s health and safety procedures.
  • Attend meetings to support the employability agenda and contribute ideas for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain high-quality records for funders, awarding bodies, audits, and inspections.
  • Be flexible to work outside normal hours when required.
What We’re Looking For:
We’re seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual with a strong background in ceramics and a passion for teaching. You’ll need:
  • Essential:
    • Advanced skills in ceramics.
    • Experience in teaching or a teaching qualification.
    • Strong communication skills to engage diverse learners, from children to adults.
    • Ability to deliver workshops that promote social inclusion and wellbeing.
    • Organisational skills to manage curriculum development, quality assurance, and record-keeping.
    • Commitment to health and safety, safeguarding, and equal opportunities principles.
    • Flexibility to work outside normal hours and adapt to varying subject areas.
  • Desirable:
    • Experience delivering accredited or non-accredited courses.
    • Knowledge of the Credit Qualification Framework Wales or similar awarding body standards.
    • Familiarity with community engagement or employability initiatives.
    • Experience working with statutory, non-statutory, or third-sector organisations.
    • Marketing or promotional skills to encourage learner participation.
