Are you a dedicated and skilled Social Worker passionate about transforming lives? Network Recruitment Wales is seeking a Registered Social Worker to join a dynamic Children & Families team in Monmouthshire, delivering exceptional support to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people.
What you’ll do:
  • Manage a diverse caseload, including complex cases, involving assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation to meet the needs of children, young people, and their families.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, analysing strengths and risks, and develop plans to safeguard children and build family resilience.
  • Provide flexible support and advice in line with the Children Act 1989.
  • Respond to crises and undertake office duty as needed.
  • Prepare reports, attend court, and maintain accurate, up-to-date records.
  • Foster effective relationships with foster carers, partner agencies, and colleagues to enhance service delivery.
  • Supervise students (where appropriate) and contribute to team development.
  • Stay informed on legislation, policies, and practices, integrating them into your work.
  • Adhere to health and safety guidelines and equality principles.
What we’re looking for:
  • A recognised social work qualification and current Social Care Wales registration.
  • Recent experience in children’s social care, preferably in Early Help and Assessment.
  • Strong professional social work knowledge and skills to handle complex cases.
  • Excellent communication, assessment, and report-writing abilities.
  • A collaborative, flexible approach with a commitment to safeguarding and equality.
  • Ability to work independently, manage crises, and engage effectively with families and agencies.
Requirements:
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
  • CV detailing relevant experience.
  • Social Care Wales registration.
  • Five years of professional references/work history.
  • DBS Summary Form.
