Rate: PAYE £29.22/hour | Umbrella £38.40/hour
Network Recruitment Wales is seeking two dedicated Level 3 Social Workers on behalf of our client for a 12-week temporary role to cover vacancies pending permanent recruitment. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and families in Neath Port Talbot. As a Social Worker, you will manage a diverse caseload, working with children subject to care and support plans, child protection plans, private and public law Court proceedings, pre-public law proceedings, and those in looked-after care or prospective adoptive placements. You will play a key role in delivering Neath Port Talbot’s outcomes-focused model of practice, supporting families to stay together where safe through creative, bespoke, and risk-managed plans. Our client offers robust in-house support, including therapeutic services, family time supervision, and community-based supervision plans, complemented by a range of commissioned services to ensure holistic support for families.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a varied caseload across frontline social work with children and families.
- Work with children on care and support plans, child protection plans, and those in Court proceedings or looked-after care.
- Develop and implement bespoke, outcome-focused plans to support families and manage risk effectively.
- Collaborate with in-house therapeutic and supervision teams, as well as commissioned services.
- Ensure best practice in line with Neath Port Talbot’s outcomes-focused model.
- Essential: Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Essential: Up-to-date CV.
- Essential: Confidentiality Agreement.
- Essential: Enhanced DBS check.
- Essential: 5 years’ references/work history.
- Qualified Social Worker with relevant professional registration (e.g., Social Care Wales).
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently.
- Commitment to delivering creative, risk-managed, and family-focused solutions.
