Vitalis are recruiting for 1x Level 3 Qualified Childcare Social worker to work within the Fostering Service to offer Supervision & Support of approved foster carers. And 2x Level 3 Qualified Childcare Social Workers to work within the Fostering Service to undertake full Kinship Assessments including fostering and SGO Assessments. 
Both of the above are for full time posts working Mon-Thurs with core hours 8:30am-5pm and Fri 8:30am-4:30pm. 
There is the option of using office bases around the City as well as hybrid/working from home opportunities.
We are looking to recruit staff with experience of Fostering Regulations, National Minimum Standards and with experience of using Form K and presenting assessment to Panel as well as understanding of legal proceedings. You’ll have experience of prioritising and organising work, setting standards and working to clear objectives, whilst having an in-depth knowledge of the issues affecting vulnerable children who are looked after and their foster carers.
Kinship Assessments are likely to include travel outside of the Local Authority area and must adhere to court timescales/deadlines. The Support and Supervision of approved carers requires an understanding of the impact of trauma, therapeutic parenting and the ability to share knowledge of models such as secure base and PACE.
