The Role
A secondary school in Walsall is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Science Teacher with a Physics specialism to join their department from April 2026 on a long-term supply basis. The successful candidate will teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, alongside Physics at Key Stage 5.
You will deliver engaging and well-structured lessons, support students preparing for GCSE and A-Level examinations and contribute to maintaining high standards of teaching and learning within the Science department. The role involves planning lessons, assessing pupil progress, and creating a positive and focused learning environment.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will:
- Hold QTS or be an ECT
- Have experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4
- Have a Physics specialism, with the ability to teach KS5 Physics
- Demonstrate strong classroom management and subject knowledge
- Be organised, proactive, and committed to supporting student achievement
