Design Technology Teacher – Resistant Materials

The Role:
You’ll be responsible for delivering engaging and practical Design Technology lessons with a focus on Resistant Materials. The timetable covers Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach a range of projects that inspire creativity and technical skills. You’ll work closely with a supportive department that values collaboration and innovation.
Your duties will include:
  • Planning and delivering high-quality lessons
  • Preparing students for GCSE assessments
  • Managing a well-equipped workshop environment
  • Tracking student progress and providing feedback
  • Supporting wider department activities and enrichment opportunities
 
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate will:
  • Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) – ECTs are encouraged to apply
  • Have a specialism in Resistant Materials within Design Technology
  • Be confident in delivering lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Be passionate about hands-on learning and creative design
  • Show strong classroom management and organisational skills
  • Be enthusiastic about contributing to extra-curricular activities
