We’re working with a high-performing secondary school in Birmingham to recruit an engaging English Teacher for a full-time, long-term supply role starting in September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate teacher to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, within a supportive and well-resourced department.

The Role
You’ll be teaching English Language and Literature to mixed-ability classes at KS3 and KS4. Responsibilities include full teaching duties: planning, marking, assessment, and attending relevant departmental meetings. The department is known for its collaborative culture and creative approach to curriculum delivery, making this a great opportunity to bring your ideas to life in the classroom.
 
The Candidate
We’re looking for a qualified English Teacher with UK QTS or an ECT ready to start their career in a supportive environment. You should be confident in delivering engaging lessons, managing behaviour effectively, and using assessment data to support pupil progress. Strong classroom presence, enthusiasm for literature, and a passion for helping students express themselves are key.
