Job Description
Are you ready to help lead a high performing SEND school that secures outstanding outcomes for pupils?
We seek a Deputy Headteacher who is an aspiring Headteacher to provide clear strategic leadership from day one. You will set direction, raise quality, and keep children safe. You will lead a skilled staff team, work with governors or the Trust, and build strong partnerships with families, health, and social care. If you bring drive, judgement, and a record of improving SEND provision, we want to hear from you.

*** Pay Scale: L15 to L19, £70,000 to £80,000 per annum

*** Lead as part of the SLT
Are you ready to lead a specialist school and lift outcomes for pupils with complex SEND?
You will set direction, keep children safe, and drive steady improvement. You will lead a skilled team and work with governors or the Trust to secure high standards.
Key responsibilities
- Set a clear improvement plan and track impact each term.
- Secure high quality teaching, assessment, and intervention.
- Lead safeguarding and safer recruitment.
- Oversee EHCPs, annual reviews, and provision mapping.
- Embed positive behaviour support and strong attendance systems.
- Manage budget, staffing, estates, and risk.
- Report clearly to governors or the Trust and prepare for Ofsted.
- QTS and senior leadership experience in SEND or mainstream.
- Impact on outcomes for pupils with SEND.
- Strong knowledge of KCSIE, the SEND Code of Practice.
- Confident leadership of people, budgets, and change.
- L15 to L19 pay.
- A committed staff team and supportive governance.
- Focused CPD and leadership development.
