The Role:
Join the Maths department to support pupils who need extra help with classwork, core number skills, algebra, problem solving, and revision. You will work with individuals and small groups, reinforce learning from lessons, and keep teachers updated on pupil progress. Teaching assistant roles commonly include supporting classroom learning activities and helping pupils with their work.
 
The Candidate:
You are clear, organised, and confident explaining ideas in a simple way. You enjoy helping pupils improve their understanding, and you want practical secondary school experience that builds towards teacher training and a future in teaching.
 
Requirements
  • Degree – A 2:2 or above in any subject.
  • Communication – Clear and confident verbal and written communication.
  • Enhanced DBS – Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate. Work with children can be eligible for an Enhanced DBS check, and regulated activity with children can also require a Children’s Barred List check.
  • Desire to work in education/with children – Genuine interest in supporting pupil progress and wellbeing.
  • Career Goals – A desire to train as a teacher and build a long-term career in education.
