Occupational Therapist – Adult Social Care - Vulnerable adults and their carers.
Location: Huddersfield
Pay rate: £32 per hour (Umbrella)
Hours: Part-time, flexible
Pertemps Social Care are currently looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join Kirklees Council on a part-time basis.

This role will focus on strength-based review work, supporting individuals to live as independently as possible. Working days can be flexible and agreed with the service, provided work is completed during office hours.
You’ll be working collaboratively with colleagues across housing, rehabilitation, assistive technology, and health teams, as well as carrying out visits to service user homes and provider sites within the Kirklees area.

Key Responsibilities As an Occupational Therapist, you will:

• Exercise professional judgement, applying appropriate methods, interventions, values, and specialist knowledge to support adults and their carers in achieving the best possible outcomes, reducing barriers to inclusion in society.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, statutory duties, and government guidance to deliver safe and effective services.
• Work in a way that respects and considers diversity, including age, health, race, religion, culture, sexuality, and life experiences.
• Collaborate effectively within a multi-disciplinary team and with a wide range of partner agencies and professionals.
• Plan and review interventions in line with legal and procedural requirements, based on occupational, environmental, and social care needs.
• Take a proportionate and positive approach to risk management.
• Produce clear, concise, and informative written and verbal reports.
• Work flexibly and adapt to new ways of working and service delivery.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date case records in line with professional standards.
• Make effective use of supervision, engage in appraisal processes, and identify opportunities for continued professional development (CPD).
• Adhere to HCPC standards of proficiency and maintain professional registration requirements.
• Uphold confidentiality and follow information sharing protocols.
