Job Description
This role is responsible for day-to-day administrative tasks associated with cess operations. The cess team work closely with operational teams across Thames to ensure cess points are kept open, ensure customers are kept informed of site opening and are invoiced on time, dealing with any queries swiftly.
The role also requires site audits both on site and in the office; checking webcam footage and ensuring any breaches are actioned. The role requires participation in out of hours coverage.

What you’ll be doing as a Domestic Waste Analyst
- Work with the team to drive domestic waste revenue of circa £10m per annum and help to grow the domestic waste customer base.
- Liaise with the operational teams and our contractors to increase availability of domestic waste points.
- Liaise at all levels and take ownership of customer issues from start to finish.
- Creating new customer accounts, annual renewal paperwork and keeping records updated, taking calls from both customers and our operational teams across TW region.
- This role will require you to undertake audits on our customers at domestic waste points, ensuring that they are adhering to our H&S regulations and waste disposal regulations.
- Undertake safety observations of customer compliance and track any customer breaches.
- Assisting with the billing cycle each month and help with any billing queries and reporting.
- Obtain quotes, order materials and 3rd party services through our framework contractors.
- Run debt reports and chase up third parties for unpaid invoices.
- Assist with all the administrative tasks required in running the domestic waste import sites including all waste licence checks and duty of care paperwork checks.
- Assist with weekly and monthly reports on site opening and domestic waste performance. Run reports and analyse the data.

What you should bring to the role
The essential criteria to help you succeed in this role are:
- A full UK driving licence is essential, as the role will involve some travel between sites.
- Proven ability to demonstrate logical thinking, attention to detail, and effective workload management.
- Building and maintaining strong working relationships with key stakeholders.
- IT literate, with the ability to use various systems and software effectively, including standard MS Office software.
- Excellent excel skills.
- A proactive, organised, and methodical approach to work.
- Technical knowledge of Wastewater and/or cess operations.
- SAP purchasing.
- Experience using Microsoft Dynamix.
- Competitive salary of up to £37,000 per annum depending on experience.
- Annual Leave - 26 days holiday per year increasing to 30 with the length of service (plus bank holidays)
