This is a fantastic opportunity to join our Strategic Resource Options (SROs) Team as a Supply Chain Analyst at Thames Water. The team is responsible for developing new infrastructure solutions to address future drought scenarios. The SROs are a key input into the regional Water Resources South East (WRSE) and Water Resources Management Plan (WRMP24) investment programmes.

What you’ll be doing as a Supply Chain Analyst
You will support the development and implementation of supply chain activities across all stages of the procurement lifecycle, working with the team to engage and prepare the industry for upcoming SRO procurements and to position Thames Water as the client of choice, for both suppliers incumbent and those who are new to working in the water sector.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Leading the maintenance of all sources of supply chain data and tools, including the monitoring of key indicators, and analysing, interpreting and presenting key data insights.
  • Developing supply chain models and maps to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and risks in the marketplace.
  • Leading the timely and accurate production of supply chain reporting to update key stakeholder groups.
  • Co-ordinating and assisting Supply Chain Managers with a variety of meetings, workshops and collaborative events required to support the delivery of Supply Chain Management in the SRO portfolio.
  • Supporting Supply Chain Managers in the production of written reports and presentation documents.
  • Attending external-facing engagement events, supporting Supply Chain Managers and representing Thames Water to external parties.
Base location: Hybrid - Camelford House, 89 Albert Embankment, London SE1 7TP

Working pattern or hours: 36 hours, Mon-Fri

What you should bring to the role
  • An in-depth understanding of supply chain analysis and interpretation of results, including market analysis and supplier financial and capacity monitoring.
  • Knowledge of the commercial and contract delivery lifecycle, including key activities during market engagement, procurement and delivery.
  • Experienced in gathering and analysing information from multiple stakeholders and sources, and the ability to deliver consistently accurate data analysis and insights.
  • Proven ability to manage stakeholder relationships, with a track record of effective internal and external communication and coordinated supplier engagement.
  • Experience using procurement and commercial systems, along with reporting applications to support strategic decision-making.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills, including calendar management and the coordination of meetings, workshops, and events.
  • Advanced data analysis and reporting skills, ideally using Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint, with the ability to clearly present findings to diverse audiences.
What’s in it for you?
  • Competitive salary from £51,900 to £60,000 per annum depending on experience.
  • Annual Leave: 26 days holiday per year, increasing to 30 with the length of service (plus bank holidays)
  • Generous Pension Scheme through AON
  • Access to lots of benefits to help you take care of you and your family’s health and wellbeing, and your finances – from annual health MOTs and access to physiotherapy and counselling, to Cycle to Work schemes, shopping vouchers and life assurance.
