Sheridan Maine is working with a well-established and growing chartered accountancy practice based near Rayleigh, Essex, to recruit a Semi Senior Accountant.

Your Key Responsibilities as the Semi Senior Accountant:

• Preparation of statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
• Preparation of corporation tax returns and personal tax returns
• Assisting with VAT returns, bookkeeping, and management accounts
• Supporting senior accountants and managers with client work and ad hoc tasks
• Liaising with clients to gather information and resolve queries
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and deadlines
• Using accounting software to maintain accurate financial records

To be considered for this Semi Senior Accountant position:

• Part-qualified ACA or ACCA (or equivalent experience in practice)
• Solid experience within an accountancy practice environment
• Good understanding of accounts preparation and basic tax compliance
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Confident communicator with a professional approach to clients
• Keen to develop and progress within a supportive team
