Job Title: Employer Engagement Officer – Skills Bootcamps & Adult Skills
Contract: Permanent- Hybrid- 2 days per week in the office/3 days work from home
Location: Central London
Salary: £30,000–£36,000
OTE: £8,000–£12,000

The organisation supports over 20,000 learners each year, working closely with employers to deliver practical, employer-led training designed around real workforce needs. Many of their programmes are government-funded, ensuring accessibility and strong social impact.

The Role
As an Employer Engagement Officer, you will play a key role driving employer partnerships and generating vacancy opportunities that lead to employment starts for Skills Bootcamp and Adult Skills Fund graduates.
You will adopt a solutions-focused approach to open doors with new employer partners across targeted sectors. Understanding employer needs and tailoring your engagement strategy will be critical to securing new business and achieving activity and placement targets.
The role requires confidence in engaging senior stakeholders within complex organisations and the ability to proactively build lasting client relationships through cold outreach and strategic business development.
Supported by marketing and resourcing teams, you will initiate and nurture new business relationships, developing them into long-term employer partnerships.
Activity will include intelligent marketing campaigns, face-to-face meetings, webinars, roundtables and proactive outreach. You will promote the full training offering responsibly, ensuring sustainable outcomes for both learners and employers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Achieve agreed activity levels and new client targets
  • Develop and manage your own business pipeline
  • Generate opportunities through sales calls and client meetings
  • Create and deliver sector-focused engagement plans
  • Manage employer relationships to a high standard
  • Cross-sell the organisation’s full training offering
  • Deliver sector information sessions and employer briefings
  • Contribute to new business tenders and pitches
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records
  • Ensure compliance with all internal processes and funding requirements
  • Prepare learners for interviews, offering tailored advice to support successful outcomes

Candidate Requirements
  • Proven track record in B2B sales or employer engagement
  • Experience engaging with senior stakeholders, including C-suite level
  • Strong commercial awareness and solutions-focused mindset
  • Confident in cold outreach and developing long-term partnerships
  • Self-motivated, target-driven and resilient
  • Able to influence stakeholders and operate with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of Government Funded Training programmes is an advantage
