Job Title: Logistics Team Leader

Hours: 40 hours per week

We are seeking an experienced Logistics Team Leader to supervise a team of warehouse operatives and support day-to-day warehouse operations. Reporting to the Logistics Manager, you will ensure activities are carried out safely, accurately, and in line with company procedures, while driving team performance and continuous improvement. You will also deputise for the Logistics Manager when required.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and coordinate a team of logistics operatives.
• Allocate tasks and monitor performance to meet KPIs and deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company procedures.
• Oversee storage, kitting, dispatch, and accurate stock control (including FIFO).
• Conduct stock checks and investigate discrepancies.
• Support training and development of team members.
• Liaise with internal departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Operate FLTs when required (training provided if necessary).
• Manage offsite storage and support equipment servicing to minimise downtime.

Requirements

• Previous warehouse/logistics experience, ideally within manufacturing.
• Proven supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Computer literate.
• Forklift licence preferred.
• GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent).
