OVERVIEW:
• A varied, client-focused role within a busy and supportive probate department
• Responsibility for managing your own caseload with autonomy
• Providing clear, professional advice to clients, often during sensitive times such as bereavement
• Drafting wills and lasting powers of attorney and handling probate and estate administration matters
• Dealing with Court of Protection work
• Regular client interaction, both in the office and at home or care settings
• Taking instructions, preparing documentation and submitting applications to the Probate Registry
• Maintaining accurate files and using case management systems effectively
• Ensuring all correspondence and documentation is completed to a high standard and within deadlines
• Opportunity to contribute to business development by building client relationships and identifying additional services
• Genuine scope for career progression for a proactive and independent individual
• Minimum of 3 years’ PQE in probate and private client work
• Strong experience in wills, lasting powers of attorney and estate administration
• Good working knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act
• Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail
• Confident, professional and approachable with clients
• Strong IT and communication skills
• Ability to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines
• Motivated, reliable and keen to continue developing professionally
• Positive attitude with a genuine interest in private client law
