Job Description

COMMERCIAL PROPERTY SOLICITOR, 2+ PQE, HAMPSHIRE, SALARY UP TO £55-70,000 (DOE). Outstanding opportunity to join the Real Estate practice of one of the UK’s leading law firms, supporting clients on high-value transactions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. JOB REF: 215302138

The successful candidate will handle a broad spectrum of commercial property matters, advising a varied client base that includes banks, charities, developers, investors, local authorities, and occupiers. This role offers an outstanding opportunity to strengthen your technical expertise and grow your business development skills within a supportive, high-performing team.

• The firm is seeking a solicitor who can support and, where appropriate, take responsibility for transactions by drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts – including leases, licences, transfers, and deeds.

• You will be expected to carry out due diligence checks, such as reviewing and reporting on title, raising enquiries, and assessing search results, as well as liaising with clients and opposing counsel throughout the process.

• Additionally, you will also be responsible for obtaining indemnity insurance quotes and coordinating with brokers and underwriters, undertaking legal research, attending client meetings, and actively participating in the firm’s business development activities.

• You should demonstrate strong technical expertise gained at a leading national or regional firm, with experience handling high-quality real estate work. Commercial awareness, the ability to manage a varied caseload while prioritising client needs, and excellent communication skills are essential.

• Candidates with a background within property finance and / or property development are highly desirable.

• This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive team dedicated to delivering exceptional client service while encouraging professional growth and business development. With a strong focus on work-life balance, you will also have the chance to build long-term client relationships that will underpin your career for years to come.
