We have an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Education Entitlement Team Co-Ordinator to join our client, Warwickshire County Council.
Job Title: Deputy Education Entitlement Team Co-Ordinator
Salary: £44,075 – £46,142 (Grade M)
Duration: Temporary (until end of June / end of summer term)

Hours: Full time
Location: Warwick (primarily home working, with attendance at Shire Hall for team meetings)
Start Date: 13th April 2026
What does the job entail?
On behalf of Warwickshire County Council, Pertemps Recruitment have an exciting opportunity for an experienced education professional to step into a key leadership role within the Education Entitlement Team.
This role focuses on supporting vulnerable children and young people back into education, particularly those who are out of school or at risk of exclusion. You will play a vital role in liaising with schools and alternative provision, often managing complex situations and having challenging but necessary conversations to secure positive outcomes.
The position has evolved to be less operationally school-facing and more focused on coordination, leadership, and driving effective partnerships across the system.
You will achieve this by:
• Leading and supporting a team, including line management responsibilities
• Working closely with schools and alternative provisions to re-engage young people in education
• Managing complex cases involving vulnerable children and young people
• Building strong relationships with key stakeholders and partners
• Navigating and resolving challenging situations with professionalism and confidence
• Supporting the delivery of statutory responsibilities across the service
What are we looking for in the ideal candidate?
• Experience in a senior leadership role within a school setting (e.g. Assistant Headteacher or equivalent)
• Proven experience managing and leading a team
• Strong background working with vulnerable children and young people
• Confidence in handling challenging conversations and complex casework
• Excellent communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills
Additional Requirements
• Enhanced DBS (Children’s Barred List) required
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle with business insurance
