About the Role
- As Project Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind project delivery, ensuring everything runs safely, on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- You’ll lead both internal teams and external contractors, making key decisions that directly impact project success.
- Lead the full project lifecycle from planning, procurement, design, and construction to handover.
- Ensure all works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with industry regulations.
- Identify and mitigate contractual, commercial, and operational risks.
- Develop strong relationships with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to support seamless project delivery.
- Monitor project performance, conduct inspections, and drive remedial action where required.
- Hold regular team meetings to review progress, identify improvements, and maintain accountability.
- Oversee trade contractors, procurement, working drawings, and prefabrication activities to achieve on-site performance goals.
- Manage project finances, including budgets, costs, revenue, and cashflow, maximising profitability.
- Proven experience managing large-scale commercial or infrastructure projects.
- Degree-level or equivalent qualification in civil engineering or a related construction discipline.
- Valid First Aid at Work, SMSTS, and CSCS Manager’s Card (or equivalent).
- Full UK driving licence.
- Strong commercial awareness and knowledge of industry contract conditions.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and IT skills (Microsoft Office & Project).
